Is it possible to clone to FTP? and if so is it possible to also recover from that FTP?

Why does someone not build in a BIGGER to smaller option into the software to make it more usery friendly in situations like mine. The link you provided is not helpful to me. I would need it broken down step by step , command by command if you can help me I would be greatful.

So how would you do this?

I know it says you can not clone a BIGGER drive to a smaller one. but I have a need to go from a 5tb to a 2tb drive. The space used on the 5tb is 1.1 TB. no where near 2tb. Is this possible at all. My OS is linux mint. Please let me know if this is at all possible and if so what the step by step instructions are to make this happen. I am new to this so please bear with me as I try to accomplish this. Thank you

Can Redo rescue backup to STORJ and recover from Storj? if so what are the step by step directions on how to do this?
