May be later, now I returned to 1.941, it was very good excersize for work with linux command line. When I installed a new Nightly Webmin version from Webmin Software packages module, so any command in Webmin was no more functional. So I have to work with kbd and display for any editing command include You advised, it is very complicted for me, because in normal state run server standalone, controlled by Webmin over ethernet.
HI Ilja, I tried to install Your Nightly package, but without success. Package installed successfully, but many errors if I try to run Webmin: HTTP/1.0 500 Perl execution failed Server: MiniServ/2.021 Date: Sun, 21 May 2023 14:16:38 GMT Content-type: text/html; Charset=iso-8859-1 Connection: close Error - Perl execution failed Undefined subroutine &WebminCore::get_webprefix called at /usr/libexec/webmin/gray-theme/theme.pl line 266. Hi Ilja, thank You for fast reply. My SSD is 60GB size, free space is about 350MB. And time after time I have to manually erase some files (logs, meteodata) in order to prevent fill a whole disk. More free space doesn't go to obtain, long time ago I deleted all unused packages in Centos. Server is very busy, four webcams, two weather stations, my simple webpage (apache), ftp server, samba for home network, firewall and fail2ban for internet connection and mail, sendmail, dovecot, many tasks in cron....
Hello, I'm using Webmin 1.941 in small home server. For any newest version I don't have required space in SSD. OS is Centos 6.10. SSD replacement is complicated because server run without kbd, display and mouse too. All is fully functional excepting few small dearts in File Manager (old version, no HTML, no Java): 1) I cannot create, show or edit symlinks. It's no important, solution is to use command line instruction. 2) If I want to edit some text or html file, so if I save edited file, it has...
This solution has one big insufficient - few space on disk (partition). May be in the future with a new disk.
Perl module is present (perl-Encode-Detect 1.01-2.el6), but probably with Webmin 1.641 is not functional. Thank You for Your endeavour to help me.
Yes, I can understand. But I do not want post my private file here to Webmin forum, exists please any other way to send file to You?
Hi Ilia, thank for Your reply. My file for editing (with diacritical marks) is in ANSI format - it is php file for my simple web page. It is a little complicated to use diacritical marks in languages, which uses it. Webmin file manager convert it to UTF-8 everytime when I save it, independent if I changed something or not. Tell me, please, why? Or, if You like, why I cannot change it in module settings? A new Webmin 1.953 with more changes (and larger) I tried to install, when it was announced, but...
