Sorry, this is resolved now. I changed my sound device from default to plughw:1 and it works now. I'm now suspecting this problem had more to do with a pacman update than an update of this.

Fair enough. I'll just ask that you don't remove it like scid has. I'm a coder too, I just have literally zero experience with tcl. I'm more of a dash app running on nginx kinda guy, but I'll start familiarizing myself with the code and learning the xfcc protocol and I'll see what I can do.

I am on Arch Linux now and have changed the PKGBUILD file for the regular release pkg they have on aur with one that will build from svn instead.
