What's the best format for creating a hidden volume? NTFS or exFat? I did a chkdks operation and found out that both of my hidden volumes are corrupt, so I want to create a new volume and this leads me to the second question. my question is this, if I copy the file from the corrupt volumes into the new volume, would the files also corrupt the new volume?

I am currently running veracrypt version 1.22 off my external hard drive and I've noticed that the files in my hidden volume keeps getting corrupted and I also have problems deleting some folders from my hidden volume, I keep getting an error message when I try to delete these files. My question is this, is it possible that the cause of this could be my old version of veracrypt? Also I would like to know is there really any difference between the different versions of veracrypt?
