OFF: Sorry, my bad, Of course I wanted to thank :-) I've just clicked the Send button accidentally too soon after Copy-paste. (Phone rang and did not check my post again.) I do appreciate the great work you are doing with this component! I only tried to suggest a possible enhancement (with too raw sentences). The main part of my prev. msg. is the CODE !!! because there is nowhere to find it, and wanted to share. I've just tested it and it works great this way. (I guess not too many of us know about...

Thank you very much for the hint!!! Of course it would have been nice, if your code would: 1. auto-recognise if it has '-----' inside it, 2. and if yes, would try to analyse if it's PKCS#8 (containing: _BEGIN_PRIVATE_KEY ) 3. or PKCS#1 (containing: _BEGIN_RSA_PRIVATE_KEY) 4. and auto-convert it. uses basenenc, fppem, ... HTTP.Sock.SSL.PrivateKey := basenenc.GetRawStringFromBytes(fppem.PemToDER( priv_key_string , _BEGIN_PRIVATE_KEY, _END_PRIVATE_KEY )); HTTP.Sock.SSL.Certificate := basenenc.GetRawStringFromBytes(fppem.PemToDER(...

To be more precise: I've forgot about ssl_openssl11, because it seemed it is not updated to work with OpenSSL3.x, so I had to close that option out. (I had to think a few moments to realize that. It was a month ago and I've red sooooo many things about SSL and things like that, it mixed all up a bit.)

Oh, sorry, I didn't know there are more of them... uses ssl_openssl; Is that wrong? It seems it loads libcrypto-3.dll and libssl-3.dll well.

Also an other context option would be nice: Recompress with/out encryption If we have made an archive, but realized we have forgot to set a password, or dropped an extra file to it which contains sensitive data, it would be logical to simple re-comress with encryption by ONE CLICK. *(Or remove the protection from it, after received an archive and set the right password once.) * Inside the program: [ File menu ] ... CRC > Encryption > - Add password protection to archive. - Change / Clear archive...

    +1 YES, please :-)

+1 YES ! The most important thing, why I use and recommend to everybody 7zip is: - Password protected archives not possible to crack ! I really do not understand, why is not the default behaviour to ask for a 7z pass ? If not a context menu, at least the setup should contain a checkbox: - ask for password every time creating a new archive from the context menu.

If you have dropped the support of Win7 (32/64) >> at least put a line to the download list for the LAST WORKING version with a LINK to it to download !!! Win7 was much much better than Win10 is or ever will be for POS systems. It is a pity you guys dropped the whole OS. :-(

Uninstalled v7.2.0 >> and tried to istall back v7.1.8, but the installer stopped at the beginning saying: "a newer version is already installed." So now we are stacked with v7.2.0, where only a few old JPG cameras work, the newer HD cams not.

I really do not understand, WHY can not VeraCrypt: - show a self-made "virtual-keyboard" on the screen? ( The Password-asking window is very small, there is planty of free space below. ) - at least for some numbers and symbols. - these would be randomized. - add these symbols directly to the memory-storaged pass, do not simulate keyboard-stokes! - do not add to "EditBox" > just show a star * symbol - users could press a re-randomize button on the screen or turn it off. Even I did the same at my very...

User interaction IS a big security risk. (Bosses do not weak up early so they give the password to employees to start the computer, etc.) Also it is impossible to prevent any keyloggers running in the background (built into ANY software.) I was thinking to automate the mounting procedure by mounting via Command Line options from my own (already encrypted) program, before accessing a database from the mounted volume. But I've just realized, it is VERY easy intercept a password from a command line-called...

+1 for this topic. Same occured for me. I have several copies of a 500MB file working perfectly fine with TrueCrypt all over the country. The mounted volume has special " permissions and ownership on files" >> all deleted except SYSTEM. (For security reasons.) After "converting" it with the "change header key" menu option ("TrueCrypt" checkbox WAS checked!) the whole permission system corrupted inside the volume. Could not add back ownership, could not open files ... same "how do you want to open...
