I instantiate components with generic pins which I want to propagate upwards. To these generic pins I place device/generic_pin.sym and set type name and value. When the current schematic is finished, I generate a symbol from the current schematic. I then open a new schematic and instantiate the new symbol. The generic pins are visible. To thes generic symbol pins I attach device/generic.sym and set values. Now I create a flat netlist. The devices/generic_pin.sym show up in the vhdl netlist: g0 :...

I enter the text in the send field under the console. And I now realize that I have to press the enter key to insert a 0x0a character in the send field in ascii mode to inject a linefeed which the function behind the send button (or alt+enter) will replace with 0x0d (the value conficured in the console setting for new line) when sending the text buffer. (I have inspected the source code of scriptcommunicator). Got it. Thanks.

The same behaviour on win10 x86_64

I have set the drop-down box for the send button to CR, but there is no carriage-return transported to the device. I have to go to hex window and add 0d at end of the sequence and then press send. The remote device does not react to commands before the 0d is manually added in hex window, or <|#CR#|> is added in the ascii window. This is scriptcommunicator 5.10 on windows 8.1 x86_64.

The equipment I communicate with on serial port accepts only carriage-return \r as end-of-line indicator. I have problems finding where to set the option to send carriage-return when pressing the "send" button or alt+enter.

The schematics was drawn with r58, and I guess a lot has happened since then.

Hi, I just got back to some schematics I drew with a previous version of xschem, and now xschem segfaults when selecting one of my symbols. I get a FATAL: signal 11 error and xschem goes down. Opening one of the examples is ok. I guess there is something in my schematics which is not quite ok, but there is little information on why xschem died. I created a log file and run with -d 9 and I am not quite sure what to look for in that log file. How to proceed?
