Both, VLC media player for video, and PowerPoint for presentations, are run as external programs using interactions that don't depend on the bit-depth of either OpenSong or the external program. There is a problem with screen flashing when switching to an external source, and when switching between slides of a PowerPoint presentation. I am not sure what you describe, and I can't find any attached screenshots. Most likely, your issue is the same as described in #274 Presentation display offset with different screen scaling For now, try using consistent scaling across displays, if possible at 100 %. Rearranging relative screen positions may help. There's one more solution here: #491 Secondary Screen on Dual Screen Presentation displays incorrectly

Hi, I don't quite understand what you did, and the error message does not give sufficient information on what exactly goes wrong. Anyway, the error happens while OpenSong checks locations where Bibles might be stored, and tries to gather a list of their names. OpenSong checks a folder named Scripture placed within OpenSong's document folder, then a folder named "OpenSong Scripture" in the same place, and finally a folder named "OpenSong Scripture" in the same folder as OpenSong.exe. Each song, and also each set, is just a file with the name of the song or set which is stored in a folder which depends on your operating system and on your setup. Typically OpenSong creates a folder named "OpenSong" in your home folder, or in your documents folder. Below this folder there are four more folders used by OpenSong: * Songs * Sets * Background * Settings These contain each whatever the name suggests. To backup, just copy the files somewhere save. There is no internal video option in OpenSong. Not in any OS. Also there is no video background at all. There is a parameter set offered, it may work, but rarely does. It heavily depends on your version of vlc, graphics hardware, setup of graphics system in your OS and additional settings in vlc's configuration.

Have you noticed the folder icon above the right end of the text field. Click it to select the media file. Works for me on Linux. I checked with the development version, though. I will have to check the released version later.

Hi Terry But what has disabling spell check got to do with being prompted to save songs which have not been changed, please? It is a bug or feature in the framework we use. If the spellchecker finds, what it thinks is a spelling mistake, and therefore changes the appearance of the text in the field by underlining it, we get an event that the field (content) changed. Therefor we register that change as the need to save the song in order to preserve the change.

Hi There's no Undo functionality implemented by the developers of OpenSong. The Undo menu item is added by the framework by default. Text fields (like Title) and editor fields (like Chords/Lyrics) provide a single level undo according forum posts. I guess everybody assumed, this just works. I downloaded the font and tried it. I had no issues. The font displayed correctly, both in the setup dialog and in the presentation. I suggest you uninstall the font, make sure the font files are trusted (unlocked on the general tab of the file's property dialog), then install it again and check in WordPad, if the font works all right. Sorry, the sample dialog is German, but I did not have an English or Portuguese one at hand.

If you instead wanted to create a new thread in one of the discussion forums, you do that the same way: navigate to the discussion forum and select "Create Topic" from the list on the left. I am not sure, what you are asking. If you want to delete old sets, there is no way to delete many of them efficiently from within OpenSong. You have to select them one by one from the Sets dropdown in Set Mode and delete them...
