I'm familiar with Virtualmin. It just hadn't crossed my mind. I am going that way, CentOS with Virtualmin to manage the server. It just takes a little longer to set up since things like iptables aren't already filled in and running like Plesk is with ufw etc. Not a big deal, though, to harden it myself. Sure appreciate all your help! As a test, I ran a clean CentOS 8 setup and installed/launched Webmin without an issue, so I don't anticipate trouble.

Virtualmin. I hadn't thought about that, but that would replace Plesk completely and handle virtual hosts. This might be the ticket.

I'm stumped. Somewhere, somehow I'm getting blocked but I can't figure out where. I even took the instance off the firewall to see if there was something there, but it made no difference. I was still blocked. I tried to bind like you suggested but but it didn't help, and i've been using the FQDN and the IP directly back and forth. it just doesn't make sense, but I'm to the point this can't be webmin problem and it has to be me being blocked. I think I might just bag the Plesk server and run CentOS...
