Oh my god - this is embarrasing. When I go with File > Open File I can access it. The error only appears when double-clicking the file. Thank you very much. I can live with this workaround, thanks again. Nevertheless I don't understand why this happens only with this file and not the other one...
Thank you for your reply. Is there no other way? Why do I need this .msi package anyway I just would like to open the files. The other file works fine. and I am wondering why Keepass is prompting this error message. No administrator of our network provided Keepass to me I installed it by myself. Kind regards.
Here is the error message which comes up when I use insert the .msi into the source field. I dont know why this comes up anyway the other file can be opened easily. As this is in German - the translation basically is: The .msi is not a valid installation package für the product KeePass Password Safe 2.45 R01. Search for the right installation package in a folder from which you can install KeePass Password Safe 2.45 R01.
Dear all, I am desperate and I hope you can help me out. I use exactly two. Keepass files - one for private stuff and the other to keep track of all my work-related passwords. The private one can be opened without a problem but if I open the one for work it demands the Keepass-245-100-R01.msi package. The error message says if I want to use this feature you need to get to the path of the installation package. I have attached the error message. I already installed the latest version.
