Hi Mat, you could have a look at http://bow-simulator.org/. It's an application for designing bows and simulating their performance. Don't know if that's the sort of project you're looking for? It uses a custom static/dynamic finite element solver for the simulation and of course there is always something to improve. Most of the current work however is about the user interface (Qt, OpenGL). I'm sure we could find something for you if you're interested. Regards, Stefan
Hello everyone! After seeing some of the amazing work posted on this forum I decided to give it a try as well. I'm looking for some help with designing a logo for http://bow-simulator.org/. It's a physics/engineering software where users can design their own bows and evaluate them by simulating various performance characteristics. I'm going to write down some of my own thoughts and ideas, but feel free to ignore that and suggest something completely different. Any help is appreciated. The current...

Hello everyone! This post is about a project called Bow Simulator, a tool for bow and arrow physics simulation. Users can put in the parameters of their bow designs and then simulate how it performs, e.g. how efficient it is, what the arrow's velocity will be like and much more. It's written in C++ with a Qt GUI and uses a custom finite element method for the simulation. I'm currently the only developer, but I would like to make the project a team effort eventually. This post will be about graphics...
