Do I need to change my collection parameters? .log file attached Cheers, Steve Prime changed its name to Sky Open months ago - maybe that is causing the problem? -- Stephen Worthington stephen@jsw.gen.nz Telephone: +64-6-357-4275 Mobile: +64-27-671-8316

I am using mhegepgsnoop.py on Ubuntu for my Freeview EPG, and for the last few days, it has been having a problem also: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/bin/mhegepgsnoop.py", line 1617, in <module> main() File "/usr/local/bin/mhegepgsnoop.py", line 775, in main download2(the_pid, datablocks, module_numbers, dmxfd, demux_filter) File "/usr/local/bin/mhegepgsnoop.py", line 1150, in download2 tempread = dmxfd.read(3) IOError: [Errno 75] Value too large for defined data type</module>...

I have done another test run tonight where I captured the packets on both the SAT>IP server box (mypvr, 10.0.2.4) and on the Ubuntu box running EPG Collector (lith, 10.0.2.12). The results are on my web server here: http://www.jsw.gen.nz/epgcollector/lith-2 The br0-lith.pcap file is from the SAT>IP server end (10.0.2.4) and the eth0-lith.pcapng file is from the Ubuntu box running EPGC (10.0.2.12). What I am seeing is that the RTCP packets sent by the SAT>IP server are getting an ICMP "Destination...

Tonight I found enough time to do two test runs of EPG Collector, one from my Ubuntu box (lith 10.0.2.12) and one from my Windows box (savaidh 10.0.2.2). I have put all the files from each run on my web server: http://www.jsw.gen.nz/epgcollector In addition to the .log files and .ini files, there is also a br0-<box name="">.pcap file which is a tshark (Wireshark) capture of the traffic at the minisatip SAT>IP server box (mypvr, 10.0.2.4). I do not have time to do any analysis of the results tonight,...

Thank you, the \r\n problem seems to be fixed. Minisatip is sending back the rtsp OK message. There are other problems happening after that, but I will have to find some more time to sit down and work out what the next problem is. If I download the source code, can I just compile it with the free version of Visual Studio 2017? Or does it use a different tool set?

I am using minisatip. It is just conforming to the SAT>IP specification, so it ignores any RTSP commands that do not end in \r\n. The SAT>IP specification shows <CRLF> on the end of all SAT>IP RTSP lines. The RTSP RFC refers to the HTTP 1.1 specification for the format of rtsp messages. The HTTP 1.1 RFC requires \r\n as the end of line marker (see section 2.2 "Basic Rules"). And EPGCollector.exe does send \r\n when run from Windows, just not when run from mono. The initial http requests to minisatip...

I am trying to get EPGCollector.exe running with mono in Ubuntu 16.04. I got it all working first on my Windows 7 box, then copied the c:\Program Files (x86)\Geekzone\EPG Collector directory to /opt/EPG_Collector and C:\ProgramData\Geekzone\EPG Collector to /usr/share/Geekzone/EPG Collector. After changing the IP address in the SatIP Enabled file to the correct one, I can run it like this: mono /opt/EPG_Collector/EPGCollector.exe /ini="/usr/share/Geekzone/EPG Collector/SkyNZ OpenTV - minisatip -...
