    You sent me down a hole looking for a copy of the Deluxe version lol... Eventually found one from 3DM. Also, I'm not sure it's considered abandonware as BigFishGames sells both the original and Deluxe versions. (Also, I gotta give you my counter recommendation of Shatter. Really good especially with the amount of ball control it gives you and its speedrun-centric gameplay. Do NOT get the Remastered Deluxe version.)

    Are the glitchy colours you describe the magenta backgrounds that are supposed to be the sprites' transparency? With the patched exe from the thread huh linked above and the attached config, I was able to get everything correct (With the attached dxw file. The one that comes with DXWnd that's dated 2022 just doesn't work even on the patched exe) except that. It pretty much looks like huh's first screenshot in the thread.     Been really nostalgic for a certain Breakout clone that had gravity physics and really extreme multiball shenanigans which I found on a USB many years ago. It had a red ball and plain white backgrounds and a flashy title that was maybe rainbow coloured and it had a very Win 98 style interface, always running in windowed mode with the top left menus always on display. Not sure if I found the one I was looking for since it runs in fullscreen, has lower res graphics, etc... but it does look like it...
