I Managed to figure it out. On this system RAID is enabled by default (very odd since there is only 1 M.2 drive in this system), and as a result Clonezilla is unable to read the drive. This should not be the case, but for some reason it is. In order to fix this you have to go into UEFI BIOS settings and switch the Controller mode from RAID to AHCI. Then only will the drive be visible and discoverable in Clonezilla. Do Not disable Secure Boot, since this will cause the system to run into other problems...
