Just tried again with the updated test version, but no luck. It's odd though, because at first it did seem to work, but then all the problems returned. I'm not sure what triggered it, I was using the same PDF and didn't seem to be doing anything differently when the problems restarted. JJ- I have these problems with all my PDFs, not any particular one.

I just noticed another strange problem, not sure if it's related to this issue with selecting text which I'm also experiencing (pls let me know if I should open another ticket): when I use my mouse's scroll wheel to scroll very slowly downward, even when I'm not selecting text, the PDF scrolls upward. If I scoll very quickly, the PDF will behave properly and it will scroll downward. However, it's almost like it needs to have enough 'momentum' to not scroll upwards instead of downwards. It does not have this problem when I try to select text and scroll in the bottom window of a split PDF- in that case it behaves normally. This problem only happens in the top window of a Split PDF, or when it's not in Split PDF view. And yes, for me it always scrolls upwards, never downwards. If I just click the mouse without moving it or trying to select, then it does not start scrolling. However, as soon as I even slightly drag the mouse to select even one character it immediately starts scrolling...

I'm experiencing this problem as well. The full screen workaround does not help, nor did updating to Tahoe 26.2. This only happens in Skim for me, not with any other apps.
