Thank you for your reply. I'm 100% sure my password is correct and i'm 100% sure i didn't selected Windows User account to logon to the keepass file. What I do know is that 1 year ago, i've enabled the Windows User Account for a week or so and than disabled it again. I think that is causing me the issues right now. But this is isn't as designed, is there a way to contact product support?
I am more than 100% sure that the PW is correct as I use it for more platforms on a daily basis. I am also sure that i copied the correct .kdbx file. So which means a password protected kdbx file that was copied over correctly (i also mailed it as a backup to myself) isn't recoverable because KP somewhere is having it linked to the machine itself?
Hi Paul, I didn't had any Windows user account selected or a key file. It might be possible that I turned it on 2 years ago but disabled it again, could this be an issue? How can we recover from this?
Hi Paul, Thanks for your answer. I've made several backups of the file because i've seen the issue before on this forum before I actually made the move. Doesn't work for either of these files. I uploaded the same file to NAS and one was mailed to myself, both without any succes..
I recently changed from PC to another Laptop. On PC I've had Keepass 2.x intstalled with a Master Password. No Key File or Windows User Account as authentication. I moved to the laptop and copied the .kdbx file with me to the new laptop and tried to login to the new fresh KeePass instance.
