I created a .abc file with two vocal lines. In the past there has been no issue when pressing the 'play' button, both vocal lines playing perfectly. Now there's no sound at all and it doesn't stop playing, the 'pause' being visible all the time, until 'stop' is pressed. A version of the file with melody only plays just fine. Hi Mary, We resolved my problem. Initially, I downloaded and installed the most recent version of Python, but that didn't work. Then (under instructions) I uninstalled that and its loader (by going into Control Panel), then uninstalled EasyABC (make sure that the error message is also closed). Next, go back in and install the new EasyABC. It doesn't seem to need Python to be installed separately as it's complete in itself. The error message tells of a module that is missing.
