    Just registered to say that I started having the very same problem after installing 2.52 today. Appears... I was attempting to load my database as a "Key file/provider" for some reason, completely forgetting that KeePass loads the last accessed DB on first start (brain fart, I guess?) A very, very silly mistake I would never consider making, but here we are. Might be worth checking it.
