    You might find that you can't create mailboxes in the dummy domain. IIRC the default setting is for PFA to do a DNS lookup to see if mail is deliverable to that domain before creating a mailbox. There's a setting for this in the PFA config file.

    You can create a dummy domain, say outdomain.mydomain.com, and create mailboxes in that. If there's no MX or A records for that subdomain then no mail could be delivered to it. Alternatively, you'll need to check the SQL queries (and possibly edit them), I think you may be able to have the account inactive for inbound mail purposes but still allow SASL authentication. This should work if you have "active=1" in the various postfix maps, but omit it from the SASL config.

    This is not a general Postfix help forum - this is for the separate package PostfixAdmin which configures/maintains virtual domains & mailboxes using Postfix (plus MySQL or PostgreSQL, optionally maildrop, and Courier or Dovecot).     The other thing to bear in mind is that many of Postfix's daemons run chrooted - so it's always a good idea to check that all the correct files have been copied to the chroot jail, and the permissions are correct.
