Carl or one of the other devs tried to add two way pins but there was a problem somewhere in the simulator he could not quite track down. The only way currently is to cheat slightly. Create two pins inside the subcircuit that are next to each other on the component view as shown on the attached screenshots. Then when you wire to them, run a wire from the inner to the outer connector, so it looks like one connection! It works better on components with filled shapes which hide the extra wires, as shown...

I too am falling foul of this bug, again. I have posted a bug report at xamarin: https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=60763 I find it hliraious they use a monkey as their logo. I will try the 5.2 rollback, but this is painful.
