I have an old Windows 7 laptop I still use for offline work and when prompted to upgrade to VeraCrypt 1.26.29 I did so and it wouldn't run because of the Windows 10 requirement (would have been nice if the installer checked for this before proceeding). I uninstalled 1.26.29 and when tyrying to put 1.26.24 back I get "The reinstallation of the device driver has failed. Please restart Windows and then try to install VeraCrypt again." A restart has failed to solve the problem. I really need Veracrypt...
