Hello! It's time for a router upgrade and the big driver for what I get will be Jamulus. I have read about bufferbloat so want something that addresses that while providing 4-6 Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi and is compatible with Verizon. I am not looking for a gold-plated solution, but I am willing to spend a few drachmas to get something good and am curious to know if anybody has any good recommendations. Thanks!
Ok, I have done my initial testing using a few different clients in the house and am happy to say the audio is now properly separated. BTW, the ability to get recordings of each Jamulus channel on the server is such great functionality - it really helped me figure out what was going on as I tested configurations. In any event, BTDT, your second option was the core of what wound up working. Here's how it all shook out after some testing: USB button pushed down so routed to Aux (this is only button...

Wow - thank you for thinking through the issue and doing this great write up. I will try these things out over the next few days and test with the band to see how it goes. Thank you so much!
Hello, the band and I love Jamulus. It has allowed us to keep practicing and stay better connected as friends - thank you again for all you do. Our band has drums, guitar and bass through audio interfaces over the network to a privateJamulus server. I am finding that, for example, my bass stream actually has all 3 channels (bass, guitar and drums) in it as opposed to just the bass from that interface. Somehow, the other channels are also in that stream. I am using a Soundcraft Signature 10 mixer...
Recording works well for us too and, to add to Wysocki's point, I don't think the command line version starts with that flag. So, what I did was also used the -w switch on the command line so chat pops up and says "We are recording" when we connect to the server from the client. Then I know if I don't see that when I connect, I need to restart the server with the command line options like what Wysocki posted above. Congratulations on getting selected and good luck with your competition!
