Booting a Linux Mint from usb stick and playing some audio through the problematic usb card/port works with any issues at all. So the issue in Windows is definitively software-caused, which happened after APO install.
When I use another usb sound card on either of that hub's ports, same issue occurs. Using other usb ports, separate from that hub works without any problems. This hub is integrated into the monitor and up till now, things functioned properly (and they still do - connecting other devices to that hub is functioning fine). I will try one final thing: to boot another OS on that same PC, using that same hub. I am expecting that the devices will be working properly (without APO). If that were to be the...
That usb sound card works flawlessly on another PC (even with same configuration APO/Peace). Tried disabling and enabling the device but without any results. Using other sound cards on the system works without any issues. In the APO configurator I've changed the setting from SFX/EFX to SFX/MFX and it seems that that lowers the amount of cracklings which are still present but rarely (few per minute). Inserting the usb card on the same PC to another usb port resolves the issue. It was originally connected...
Thanks for the quick reply. Previous to the install of APO there were no issues. After the APO and Peace install, I have noticed that some streams I listen are crackling, then checked some Youtube videos with the same effect. No distortion but frequent cracklings. I uninstalled both APO and Peace and crackling remained and now I have to deal with it. I need to investigate more but this sound device is a cheap no-name usb sound card which performed previously without issues. What I will try is to...

Hello, I have an issue with occasional sound clipping. Regardless if I use 0 db preamp, or some negative value (it does lower the volume indeed), the sound is clipped. APO is active for the sound device and I tried to uncheck Use original APO option suggested by some but no changes in amount of clipping. The audio never goes to 'red' but clipping is there. Some suggestions?
