I have been experiencing this issue for probably years, first with TrueCrypt, and then, with VeraCrypt. I tried killing all backup processes, disabling virus scanner, and having no other program running, nothing would stop this issue from happening unless I rebooted. Today I found jodasourcefourge's simple solution, tried it and it worked like a charm. What a relief!! I will no longer have to close all my application and reboot, just to have access to my encrypted data. Thank you so much jodasou...
