    Ping Cheng, with all respect, please read discussion between Jason and me carefully. Logs from Synaptics touchscreen driven by libinput was an example of correct behaviour, asked by Jason. Issue was reported about, and still observer on, another device with Wacom touchscreen driven by xf86-input-wacom.

    Since all input devices are driven by libinput On tablet without Wacom hardware where issue is not reproducible. Please read few more comments above.

    Hello! Thank you for DDX driver patch and for work on this issue :) On the off-chance that it was just a fluke, you could try capturing data again and sending me a new log. I'll look through and see if it (still) looks like a hardware issue, or if there might be something we can do in software... I guess I need to fill new bugreport about this, right?     I think I got something similar once in Wayland session of Gnome Shell. One time interface elements on Gnome panel (like "Activities" word, clocks, etc.) react on taps as if I move cursor above this interface elements without clicking. App running under XWayland (Opera) does not react on taps or swipes at all. So, shell was alive and app probably too, yet touchscreen input doesn't get thru. I can not be 100% that this is wacom driver bug (this could be DE bug, I guess) but apperently this "hardware...

    According to Xorg.0.log all input devices (including Synaptics touchscreen) is catched by libinput on Dell 7140.

    I tested patched build and I have to say that behaviour is very improved but there is still issues from time to time. For example in attached log I moving one finger over surface, but browser react on this action as if I doing pinch-to-zoom, so like there is two fingers instead of one - do you see this in logs?
