Hi there! Trying to work around a similar issue when dynamically mounting a Veracrypt volume using a UDEV rule as trigger, I came across your post, and could not help but wondering, whether you ever found a suitable solution to your problem. Best, Hermenegildo.

Esteemed community, I am trying to dynamically mount a non-system, encrypted partition on a external hard drive on Fedora 42 using Veracrypt from the veracrypt-1.26.14-1.src.rpm. To this end, I created a rule ACTION=="add", SUBSYSTEM=="block", ATTRS{serial}=="1239238573726448294", RUN+="/home/amica/mount_veracrypt.sh" for the userspace device manager (udev) which executes a script containing the following command veracrypt --text --non-interactive --mount "$DEVICE_PATH" --keyfiles="$KEYFILE" "$MOUNT_POINT"...

Sorry, I should have checked this earlier, apparently this issue is application dependent, i.e. does not stem from vcxsrv.

On a regular basis, I trust and use this great piece of software, thank you! As a Windows user I find myself relaunching the Windows Search Service very frequently in order to enable the indexing of the VeraCrypt volume, hence my inquiry: Is there anybody else who would welcome an additional checkbox in the 'Favourite Volumes' dialog that would trigger the automatic restart of the aforementioned service as soon as the drive gets mounted? It might not be the most elegant solution, but a working one...
