Han … thank you the quick reply. My mount is a Celestron AVX (I know, I know) … First, my mount never leaves the pier in my backyard. I park the OTA in index position (Home) pointed at Polaris. I then use a PoleMaster camera and app to polar align. Next, I use the Celestron PlaneWave app (CPWI) to load a 7-star alignment model. Using this approach, my GoTo slews end up very close to target … and plate solving centers the target beautifully. I use APT, NINA and SharpCap as my imaging apps, and all...
I have enjoyed using ASTAP for some time, but now it is no longer able to blind solve in APT. I certainly have made some settings changes in APT over time, but cannot seem to find what I did to cause this to fail. I use a DSLR (Canon EOS 70D) on a Celestron C8 SCT with f6.5 reducer. I know that I have all my FOV numbers right, but all I get is a timeout after 120s. I have attached a screen shot as well as a sample image I am tying to solve.
