I have a windows 10 computer Two Drive partitions C & D I encrypted both drives and then so that I could retain the Windows D Drive Letter I renamed D to F hide the partition and removed drive letter and renamed what was Drive F back to D. This all worked but bow wondering if I want to revert can I undo this. That is rename D to say F and find the hidden partition and rename it back as D rename F back to E and the unencrypt. Trouble is I cannot identify the hiddeen partition. I dont seem to have...
I have encrypted my PC and I needed to retain the D Drive so that file paths are correct. I removed the Drive letter and hid the partition. I then renamed the E Drive as D Drive and it works fine. I now want to do a backup of the now D Drive and use AOMEI partition backup. Unfortunately it cannot see the D Drive I can see the hidden partition but cannot see the D Drive. Using WIndows Explorer I can see all Drives including D. If I try to back up the hidden partition it will not allow me. Any ideas...
!. Are you sure Bitlocker will work on system Drive on Toshiba. Wont it have same problems as VeraCrypt 2. I hate the thought of having to log in with a MS account. I only use local accounts at present but I am presuming if I go with Bitllocker it will force MS account and all users of my laptop would also have to use MS account. Is that correct. Thanks
OK It is obvious that I cannot encrypt successfully the System Drive on a Toshiba but what is my best option to protect laptop. I can encrypt the D Drive but how can I protect the System Drive (C Drive) and the directories on that drive. Any suggestions please?
Getting desperate here anyone any idea just why the encryption for Toshiba Satellite S55t-c should keep failing the test. As an experiement I tried encypting the D Drive which is a separate HArd Disk. It worked fine. But without the system disk being encrypted it sort of does not meet my need. SHould I look for an alternative encryption system or is the same problem likely. Any suggestions gratefully received

I cannot seem to get Veracrypt installed on my Toshiba laptop Satellite S55t-C. It has a SSD on whcih the system is installed and a separate 1TB HD. It always fails at test stage suggesting that boot may not be on disk 0. I have tried disabling Secure Boot and installing a supervisor password to see if that helps but it still fails. Any suggestions please. here is a snap of my disks http://critical-thought.org/fabians/Disk.PNG Thanks
