Hi, I took a screenshot of the configurator from my PC, attached. As you can see only VoiceMeeter outputs are available to be selected. VB-Audio Cable Input (Another program from VoiceMeeter makers) is selectable but I haven't tried that. But don't fret, you can do what you want just differently. You can use a program like Element LT (or other options) as VST hots and use VoiceMeeter patch to route audio through it from specific VoiceMeeter inputs. Here is one guide (not using Element LT but VST...
Yes, VoiceMeeter bypasses the Windows audio device volume.
Forgot to link the code mentioned above: https://sourceforge.net/p/equalizerapo/code/68/tree//trunk/filters/loudnessCorrection/VolumeController.cpp#l47
Totally agree! And just one front of impressiveness on EqualizerAPO's behalf.

It is modifying the audio if I play with the reference DB levels but not functional as it does not follow the VoiceMeeter output volume, which is key for Loudness control. Not a cpp developer but I guess the issue is with this code, apparently used specially by the loudness filter to get the default device's volume from the system (Windows) and match its Master Volume to it. VoiceMeeter doesn't uses the system's volume, it uses its own.
I'm about as sure as could be about this. Not even a restart is needed (unlike APO registration) - with a simple click in the configurator VoiceMeeter client indicator is lighting up and EqualizerAPO is active. Here is EqualizerAPO's source code for its VoiceMeeter client implementation: https://sourceforge.net/p/equalizerapo/code/HEAD/tree/tags/1.2.1/VoicemeeterClient/ I wouldn't have needed that specifically for VoiceMeeter if it was rerouting through Windows APO as in general.
