Win10 Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362 Is there a Top10 probable problems I could look for? Thing is I really dont have time right now to install and try different combinations of freeplane/java which is exactly why I am living with that annoyance for almost a year now. In that time versions of java and freeplane have been variating themselves (due to automatic updating) :-( Thanks for your help so far...

Ver 1.8.0_241. But I am seeing this problem for several months now (meaning this is not due to one special java version).

I am living with it for quite a while now but it really starts to bug me off. Everytime I start a file operation like opening or saving a mindmap Freeplane will freeze for about 30sec before opening the saving/opening location window. Saving or opening itself happen fast. How would I approach the search for a possible cause? Thanks Rogurt

@Volker have you tested AddOn "Pack&Go" in conjunction with AddOn "inline images"?...
