I have done a bit of digging but have a couple things not clear. First I will be using either SHA256 or SHA512. Really SHA256 is strong enough. As a participant in IETF, I have sat through a lot of discussions on this topic. But I am still undecided. The hashing cost on my Odroid HC1 will be the decider... Any way one source I have readL https://kaworu.ch/blog/2016/04/20/strong-crypt-scheme-with-dovecot-postfixadmin-and-roundcube/ Has a lot of good information on migrating password format. I will...

I am in the process of replacing my current mailserver with a new one. The old server has postfixadmin 2.91. My 1st question is: Is the mysql database the same between v 2.91 and v 3.2? If so, it will be a 'simple' copy of the mysql file and my users are migrated. If I do have to recreate all the domains and users (not soo bad), how would I move their passwords? I do find it interesting that the passwords are still hashed with MD5-CRYPT...

    I just checked templates_c dir after the setup: ls templates_c/ 3f70a0a440255ebf4f1c32a5a1ce388e1de9ffee_0.file.menu.tpl.php 63f98af09aa5bc7a4553679dd062464be3988c43_0.file.header.tpl.php 9abf1c14ae3afd7ab0128164036a6eb1433915f2_0.file.login.tpl.php a8e76d50b9820408e32f29258c97bad2c8100a45_0.file.main.tpl.php bd0c4e7c6841d38c8b553668fbecb8fdd66edb38_0.file.footer.tpl.php c812f0135d84b4b99dbc63e2e2ca1645c053779a_0.file.list.tpl.php d8b2475f20c6cd604b370e7dd39f713718b463dc_0.file.index.tpl.php dabc839869fa34742225bc47994c97703c16bd8c_6.file.menu.conf.php...

Earlier in the install I also did: chcon -R -t httpd_sys_content_rw_t /usr/share/postfixadmin/templates setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect on I don't know exactly what was need. It takes quite some time to get to this point in an install to try different combinations...

That seems a bit of a hack, but it almost worked with chmod 777 I just needed to add: chcon -R -t httpd_sys_content_rw_t /usr/share/postfixadmin/templates_c Then setup went to normal completion.

I noticed when I untared postfixadmin 3.2 that the directory templates_c is now templates. OK, but when I tried the url: http://host/mailadmin/setup.php I get the error: ERROR: the templates_c directory doesn't exist or isn't writeable for the webserver Do I move the directory back to templates_c or what do I fix? A grep for templates_c produces: CHANGELOG.TXT: templates_c/ etc. to the world (but also means you'll need to adjust your CHANGELOG.TXT: - add check to ensure templates_c/ exists and is...

I missed changing the alias command in the httpd conf file. I needed: alias /mailadmin /usr/share/postfixadmin/public Now on to the next problem.

I am working on a new setup with ver 3.2 on Centos7-armv7 with SElinux enforceing. Last I worked with postfixadmin it was ver 3.0.2 and my notes are based on that and Apache 2.4. My postfixadmin.conf file for Apache is: alias /mailadmin /usr/share/postfixadmin <Directory "/usr/share/postfixadmin/public"> AllowOverride AuthConfig Require ip 192.168.0.0/16 </Directory> I added the /public on the Directory statement based on the content of /usr/share/postfixadmin/index.php when I try connecting to host/mailadmin/setup.php...
