Thank-you! works :-) Only "flaw" if you can call it that is that the hacker would know C=6 and the length of the prefix password so if there was a website that he could use brute force against you'd want to make sure it wasn't a dictionary word I suppose.

i'm trying to set it up now as an example but have no idea how to :) sorry... I'm not an advanced user even though I use Keepass every day and have 100+ passwords in it and sync it across multiple machines I still don't understand what you've asked me to do with your {Username}{TAB}{PICKCHARS:PREFIX:C=6}{password}{ENTER} above....

perfect! will give it a go thanks! The only thing with this is would it be suited for more "advanced users" in its current form?

Yeah I dont think there is. But wonder if it's a good idea though, what do you think? It's alright to remember 1 easy password. So unless your machine was compromised there would be absolutely no way of getting your passwords even if you hacked into the database file! I have a fairly complex "simple" password as it is... so score! :-)

Hi all, Had a quick look around but not sure if it's been discussed before. Lets say I have a password comprised of two strings: 1: a simple pin/word/phrase I can remember. 2: a random complex password generated that I cannot remember. When creating a password for a website I will use both strings concatenated together. When using Keepass to autologin to the website if I have a checkbox selected it will prompt me to type in string1 then when I press OK/enter will continue and auto-type the string2...
