    I built from source on Debian bullseye/11/oldstable with ligbtk2.0-dev installed. Here are the compiler warnings it spit out. I think everything built OK, but thought you might want to know.     When I ran a CA return I was surprised it didn't fill in the adjustment for local taxes automatically. That is, CA income tax payments, which are deductible on the Federal return, are not deductible on the CA return. so the amount in line 71 (CA 540) needs to go in line 5a, column B (subtractions) on CA Adjustments. I suppose there are various reasons such an automatic approach might be wrong (e.g., some other tax lines than 71 might count; the federal deduction might not line up with CA...), but...

    I did a checkout of the source with subversion, and just noticed that all the *_pdf.dat files in formdata are missing. I can get them from one of the tarballs, but shouldn't they be there?

    Running ots_gui2 with a data file on the command line does not generate pdfs, because the kind of tax solver present is not set if one uses the -taxsolver command line option or if one leaves it out and clicks on the file when prompted That is, the global variable selected_form is not set to anything useful (the command line parser for -taxsolver sets it to 11=other) and when one tries to generate a pdf it fails with "Form type not supported". The association between tax solver and integer appears...
