I encountered the same issue and one solution that appears to have worked is that I modified the TexStudio Properties to Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8. The detailed instructions are: Click on Windows Start Menu, Click on All Apps, Find the TexStudio Icon, Right-Click and select More>Open File Location. Right Click on the Icon and select Properties.
