I would recommend either deleting the SteelSeries GG software OR utilising the Sonarr EQ that comes included with it. It separates audio out into different channels based on which app is associated with which EQ (eg, game audio, chat audio, media audio), and forces your headphones into "virtual 7.1 surround" mode, and i believe this is what causes issues with EAPO. Overall it was a mess and an absolute pain to deal with... Plus it was a resource hog :) I was in the same boat as you for a long while...
