Hi Jeffrey, sorry i'm answering now but i was busy with something else. Basically i did 2 scans today with v2.6.3. 1 scan in black / grey and the other in colors. Both in 300dpi, downsampled to 200 dpi. Color scan in PDF is 4 MB (only 1 time document) size while greyscale is about 1.7 MB (twice same document) when i send them to ilovepdf.com: color scan PDF is about: 98Kb greyscale scan PDF is about: 94,4Kb both as in standard compression in ilovepdf.com therefore i would like to understand why there...

Here is the log of new test. I tried to change driver from scanimage to libim-sane-perl and to scan. Next to set back scanimage driver and gscan2pdf froze as usual in this case. Maybe log show that weird behavior.
My mom uses USB cable to connect scanner
so scanner is XP-332. We tested the new version 2.5.6-1 but the only difference is that the popup with "operation was cancelled" does not pop up... but nothing is displayed in viewer, like scanned did not scan.... whereas scanner run the job and scan normally.
