Yeah - that might be it - I'm converting existing sequencial code to state machines. I will have to take few more passes to actually instrument it correctly to work as state machines...

What would be a good design pattern to reuse existing states in following scenario: 1. There are 3 generic states A, B,C with substates etc. providing some functionality. 2. Signal X_SIG triggers execution of A, B, C. 3. Signal Y_SIG triggers execution C, B, A. 4. Signal Z_SIG triggers execution of only B and A - in that order. The above is menageble with if/else and bool conditions but with increasing number of A, B, C usage combinations - the design becomes cumbersome. So the question is how to...
