yeah, but thats too much of a hassle for daily work. a browser extension for chrome/edge would be nice :) the server itself would be perfect in terms of functionality. just not the opening/folder opening of search results (btw, using macs here)

Thanks for the explanation! Its not about the money at the moment, its about the best solution :) I already had a look at DocFetcher Server but the handling of the found files doesnt match with my workflow. i need to be able to double click certain files to open, or open up the containing folders. thats not possible with Server because of the Browser restrictions.
Hey! I got the same Problem. But is there maybe an Option to open the Indexes in "Read-Only"? Or maybe in a future update? So you could at least use the created indexes for searching. Updating/indexing would be done another way, maybe on the nas machine itself. Thanks! Toby
Hey! I wanted to move the index files to another directory and edited the misc/paths.txt file. But i didnt work so i launched DocFetcher via Console and saw that the paths.txt file isnt found on startup. It is there in the package contents. Also tried a clean install.. no success. Any idea?
