Not that I remember or did intentionally. I went through the troubleshooting, i.e., disabling plugins and triggers, etc.; and troubleshooting from other pages (i.e., checking version of net framework). I gave up and the problem continued. But even before updating to the next version of KeePass, the problem just went away. Made me think it was some Microsoft update that made a difference.

Maybe a month later, the problem just went away. Thank you Paul for the link above -- I tried the troubleshooting steps outlined, but nothing seemed to make a difference. Then, a few weeks later, the delay opening the files went away and things were back to normal.

With the latest update, 2.47, when switching from one open database file to another, there is delay of about 5-10 seconds, with the message "not responding," although KeePass finally switches to the other database. I keep 2-3 database files open all the time while working and was never an issue switching before this update.
