OK. Many, many thanks again.
First of all, many, many thanks for your support and answers!! Ist there a place (or a document) where the correspondence between the "strings" of the config.ini file and the many configuration options of the GUI is documented? (For example: viewing/flag_planets_orbits_only is not by default present in config.ini, but it can be used ...) Thanks again!
Perfect. Thanks a lot!
OK, thank you a lot. It works perfectly. Just another question: Presently I start a "customized" version of stellarium starting it from the command line and using the "-c"option to load a "local config.ini". Is there any way to configure this local "config.ini" to let stellarium only show the orbits of the 8 major planets? Presently the [astro] part of config.ini contains: flag_planet_magnitude_limit = false fllag_planets = true flag_planets_hints = true flag_planets_orbits = true So I need to start...
Yes, of course, here it is: https://sourceforge.net/p/stellarium/discussion/278769/thread/f0ea7bc4/ From Nobody/Anonymous: Actually the Solar System Observer is a kind of an object using which you can view our solar system. But you have to know how to use it. Edit the config.ini file in the config folder. On the very last line, it says: home_planet = Earth In any case, it seems to be an old comment, since - as far as I Can see - there is no home_planet in the present config.ini. So my question is,...
Hi, ist there any way to start stellarium and land automatically in the Solar System Observer? There is a post here that suggest to look for something like "home-planet = Earth" in the config.ini but I can not find this entry in the present config.ini ... Any idea? As far as I can see, I should either consider to modify the config.ini file, or try to develop a script ... unfortunately I'm not so deep into stellarium to being able to solve the problem by myself. Thanks a lot for any help.
