Thanks for the patch, Hiero. Would you create a pull request with it? Does anyone know if the maintainer has any plans to accept such pull request so that this becomes a feature of MiniDLNA?

Does anybody have a version of this fantastic patch (and all the updates it has received so far in this very long thread) for the current version 1.2.1 of MiniDLNA? Also, does anybody know why it was never included in the main branch? Or if it was rejected? I never got to find a response by the main developer about it. Thanks.

Hello everyone. I would like to enquire about the status of this request. For instance, transcoding x265 into x264 would be a great addition as my Samsung TV does not support x265. Thanks.
