It would be great if MOBAC could add 2 Atlas formats: 1) GeoTIFF: maybe the most popular and universal file format nowadays to share map content. Also able to have overview pyramids. 2) JPEG+Worldfile: The same as already PNG+Worldfile, just using filesize-saving format "JPEG". Optional with a user defined quality, e.g. 75% or 80%
There are certain file/atlas formats which allow the creation of so called "pyramids" (overviews in lower zoom levels of the map). E.g. "MBTiles SQlite", or all TMS formats like "OSM Tracker tile storage". Pyramids are essential for viewing/working with large maps. Right now MOBAC creates pyramids just for those zoom levels which have been also downloaded. So downloading just Z15 of a map and creating the pyramid down to Z8 is not possible. But sometimes it's not possible to download other zoom levels,...
Hi, within "Layer settings: custom tile processing" > "Tile format": Please add entry "JPEG - quality 75", thanks!
I want to use 7zip to zip several files into seperate archives, e.g: 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg ==> 1.zip, 2.zip, 3.zip I know this is possible only with command line yet. So I want to encourage you to add this handy feature also to the GUI. Not everybody wants to work with Command lines, and using the GUI would also be simpler and quicker. For example WinRAR offers this feature in its GUI (within tab "Files") and is the only reason why I am still using WinRAR instead of 7-zip yet.
