Just ran the svn command above and at the end it still reports this: Checked out revision 12113. So, despite the code modifications (I compared the code in the src.rpm with the code obained via svn), svn reports the same revision used in the source rpm I've used to build for EL8.     Hi @erich_st ... Yes .. my question was indeed related with ooRexx 4.2; at the time I didn't notice that there was work going on v5). Great news I should say. Meanwhile I got the Centos 7 rpm package and installed on my CentoOS 8.2 machine and from a brief test Rexx seems to be working fine even being a beta. Just had to manually install one required package that is ncurses-compat-libs (the rpm should have been built in a way that the referred package is automatically installed as a dependency)....

    Hi ... Just to let you know that I've sucessfully built from source on Centos 8.2 using the oorexx-5.0-113.2.src.rpm file (no modifications done). Let me know if you want the ooRexx packages for EL8 that I've just built. Cheers !
