One other thing, when I perform Step 4, run the Rescraper Wizard, this process adds an extra underscore character _ to the end of the pic link like this <thumb>nfs://192.168.50.198/volume3/MyKodiData/Actors/A/Alan_Ritchson_</thumb>.jpg
I did some additional troubleshooting. Following these steps gets me the closest to what I want to see in my NFO files; even though they may not display properly in MC. Starting out fresh, I scrape the TV show using Series actors with TVDb, episode actors with TMDb. "Don't duplicate series actors in Episodes" is unchecked Once this is done, the TVshow.NFO exhibits the problem of missing pic links for some actors, but the episode.NFO does a good job of including the links to the episode actor pics....
I just scraped a new TV series into my library, Reacher (TVDB 366924). I see some inconsistencies in the actor scraping. For example, the tvshow.nfo captures the lead actor, Alan Ritchson, and has put a thumb into my Actor folder appropriately and added its path to the nfo. Another series actor, Sonya Cassidy, is also included in the tvshow.nfo, but there is no path created for her picture in this nfo even though her photo exists in my actor folder. When I highlight the series in the left window,...
I use the Movie Set tab with my Kodi Movie Set Information Folder (MSIF. My main use of this tab is reviewing which sets are missing artwork inside the MSIF. I would like a right-click menu item added when I click on a given movie set name to include "Open Folder" of the specific set's MSIF. As I hunt/create media for that folder, having quick access to it in the tool that highlights its current artwork omissions would be helpful.
Can you add an option for support for the upcoming Piers version of Kodi and add the option to create a set.nfo file as described here to be stored in the MSIF? https://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files/Movie_sets You can allow a toggle in settings to allow the user to decide whether the set data is placed in either the movie NFO, set NFO, or both. That will allow both forward and backward compatibility.
I'm using 3.7.7.0. and it doesn't recognize I have a png poster; it reports it as missing using the General filter Missing Poster in the filter window. Can you also update this for Movie Set art as well? For example, I also have a png poster in my Movie Set Information Folder, but MC reports it as missing there as well. Thanks!
Thanks. I'm not requesting to change what is downloaded (jpg is fine) from the sites MC accesses; just to recognize & display those formats that Kodi accepts within your database in local movie folders. I have several banners & posters as png and would like MC to recognize them as not missing.
https://kodi.wiki/view/Artwork_types shows compatible artwork types by artwork type and container. Would like MC to accept and display (show as not missing) all the same combinations as Kodi. Example: Kodi accepts .png and .jpg for banner but MC only recognizes .jpg.
