Doing the Audacity Latency Test Method: - VB Cable Virtual Input 183ms latency - ASIO Hi-Fi Bridge 131ms latency I also noticed some audio glitches and pops whilst watching Youtube videos so I changed the buffer size and Max Latency in ASIO Bridge until it stopped. I ended up with 128 Buffer and 2048smp

I already have HI-FI Cable and ASIO Bridge but not a fan of ASIO4ALL or Voicemeeter. I used my Interface's ASIO driver and it's working fine with 64 samples with no distortion. As for it offering better latency and stability, I have no idea to test between the two or which application that would let me measure the difference. I saw that in that thread he used Audacity but to use ASIO you need to compile an ASIO build which is a faff.

I don't even think I need to do that step and install Audio Repeater. I can configure the Virtual cable to 7.1 audio and set the Recording tab for VB-Cable-Output to “Listen” to the source that is driving my headphones for example this is Output (2-SSL 2 USB Audio Device) for me. In HeSuVi I go to virtualization/HTRF option, select DTX for example, play the sample 7.1 and I can hear sound being played through 7 different areas of the headset. I guess the Wiki is outdated?
