Hi Why doesn't 7-Zip use the "Quick Open" header in RAR archives? RAR5's Quick open header (QO service header) is used by RAR to store file headers, so this can be read much faster than parsing dozens of part files of an archive. Unfortunately RAR's own format used in there is not documented anywhere. It could also reveal filenames that would otherwise be protected by header encryption.
