I had the same issue, tried cloning disk to image to a Lexar NQ710 2 To NMVe SSD in an external USB-C case ORICO-BM2C3-G2 https://www.orico.cc/us/product/detail/7821.html I tried on 3 different machines, and all failed. What ultimately worked was using a much smaller SanDisk Extreme PRO 128 Go USB drive. Obviously, the issue wasn't about space being full. As @baerus stated once the error occurred everything froze, only way to exit was with Ctrl+Alt+Del

Is it possible to have checksum for each selected files and not a checksum of the data of the combined selected files?

Would be great to keep up with security updates.
