    Hello Enigma2Illusion, I don't use Windows anymore. I switched to Linux and deleted the existing partition on Debian. And no, I use this M.2 SSD only for backups. Perhaps I should also mention that it is in an external case that is connected to a "Thunderbolt" USB port. Can I leave the SSD like this?

    Hello everyone, I have a question which I did not find any information on the Internet, in the application itself, on the official website and here on the forum. When I buy a new SSD, I always delete the old partition and then encrypt it directly with "VeraCrypt (on Linux with a GUI)" without reformatting it first (the SSD has no partition before encryption). Now I'm not sure if this is the right way to create an encrypted volume. Maybe I just compromised my data, even if the SSD is running fine?!...
