Well, cool: If you're going to "keep trying" in regard to the ghost cursor trail issue, then please keep me posted of any progress. Maybe some people would not be bothered by this annoying graphics artifact, but it's too distracting for me. In the screenshot I included in a post up above in this thread, I think you can count 8 cursors visible in that shot. If I keep moving my mouse with my hand, oh yeah, lots more show up!! :-p Keep me posted if you can resolve this!! Thanks, Pez

Tried it: Enabled Compensate Flip Emulation in DirectX tab, launched the game, still seeing those multiple trails of ghost cursors. Exited the game, when back to DxWnd and modified once again and this time Disabled Compensate Flip Emulation in DirectX tab; launched game again.....still those darned multiple trails of ghost cursors :( Pezzy

BEEN_Nath_58: Tried that; Mouse/ Cursor Visibility - Hide. Same result: Multiple trails of ghost cursors. But at least my desktop spinning blue busy cursor is gone ;-) Maybe gho will comment on here again; perhaps he can do another tweak to the .DXW file. Pezzy

Hi again, gho; thanks for the further clarification & the details!! :) And....I was not aware there was an Expert Mode ;-) After enabling that Expert Mode, I was able to see those further configurations/ more options you mentioned. And.....making some progress, but still a hiccup. First, instead of Windowed Mode, I thought I'd remove the checkmark and let it play in full screen. And oh yeah.....you know what I have to remember when running this DxWnd program? I gotta remember to run it as Administrator...

Hi gho; thanks for your replies. Sorry it took me a bit to get back here..... I downloaded the DXW file from your 2nd reply, put it into the Exports folder, and then attempted to launch the game. The game almost opens in windowed mode. The Main menu of the game appears in the window, it's active and "animated", but I'm not able to do anything; there's no cursor. And for a second there, I thought my whole system seized up: When I moved my mouse with my hand, not only was there no cursor in the window...

Hi all. I have the original CD ROM game of Black Dahlia way back from 1998. I've played it throughout the years on Windows 95, 98, XP, and I believe Windows 7, but probably in Compatibility Mode. I am having trouble getting it to run in Windows 11. I did some searching on the 'Net and came across this article/ posting (technically, it's for Win 10, not 11): https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=64995 From the info in the post, I downloaded that DxWnd utility and unpacked it. I also downloaded (but...
