Steven, I tested "clonezilla-live-20260217-resolute-amd64" against an external drive with partition labels that including spaces, single and double quotes. The "Box" is unknown... problem has been fixed, at least for the unwanted characters I tried. Thank you to you and the Clonezilla team. Pete-15
Steven, Attached are two files, both created using "ocs-blk-dev-info" using "clonezilla-live-20260202-resolute-amd64". The first attachment "even-ocs-blk-dev-info.txt" was created with the USB external hard drive that has been causing the "Box" is unknown... problem for Clonezilla. After reviewing the contents, I noticed that one of the partition labels had an apostrophe (') in "ex-Rosie's-HP". I removed the apostrophe and retested. The second attachment "even-ocs-blk-dev-info-fixed.txt" was created...
clonezilla-live-20260202-resolute-amd64 still has the problem. As did clonezilla-live-20251017-questing-amd64, but not clonezilla-live-20250620-plucky-amd64 which I have rolled back to as a work around. Some background: Monthly I do full disk images of family PCs to alternate external USB hard drives, odd months to one, even months to the other.
