Hi! I finally decided that I'm going to use my old laptop as a "test machine" to practice Linux in general and try out some distros that catch my eye. So for now, I will not be doing the test of reinstalling Pepper on my old laptop (instead I want to install Pepper in dual boot it with Windows on my main laptop). Should I close this topic or something like this? Anyway, thank you so much for your help and comprehension! Unfortunately I have to open another topic due to the many hardware compatibility...
Ok thank you so much. On that laptop, a HP Victus 16-e1008nl, I have a MediaTek MT7921 Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax, but maybe I have to open another Topic about this. Anyway thank you so much!
Ok cavy, thank you so much! I will try as soon as possible. I really appreciate your help, your advice and your words of encouragement :). Thanks also for your cavy pmos youtube channel, I will support it! About it, a video on how to install Peppermint OS on new PCs with a wireless network card that is not recognized in the live USB session would be great :) I ran into this problem with my main laptop (released in 2022 I think) and that's why I haven't installed it there yet. Anyway, another time...
I also tried to reinstall all Nouveau package from Synaptic Package Manager but nothing happened. The command inxi -AG still to show me that: Device-2: NVIDIA GF117M [GeForce 610M/710M/810M/820M / GT 620M/625M/630M/720M] driver: N/A Also, with sudo lshw -c video it show me just one device, the integrated Intel card one and no more. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.
Ok, thank you so much. Anyway I still have no drivers for my nvidia graphic card as you can see from the results of inxi -AGthat I posted on my previous answer. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. In any case, thanks for your answer.
Hi cavi, Thank you s o much! I follow your instructions: I don't find any nvidia files or directories inside .cache or .config but in here: ".mozilla/firefox/t77bpbyc.default-esr/storage/default/https+++www.nvidia.com". In this directory there are some nvidia files. Do I have to remove it? Because after systemctl reboot and sudo xDailynothig changed and the results of inxi -AGare: Graphics: Device-1: Intel 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics driver: i915 v: kernel Device-2: NVIDIA GF117M [GeForce 610M/710M/810M/820M...
Hi everyone! Unfortunately I'm a noob, but I aim to become a more conscient user. I installed Peppermint OS on my old computer, and everything seems to work, except that inxi command shoe me that my NVIDIA GF117M graphic card has no driver. This is the results of "inxi -Fxz": System: Kernel: 5.10.0-22-amd64 x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 10.2.1 Desktop: Xfce 4.16.0 Distro: PeppermintOS Machine: Type: Laptop System: LENOVO product: 20191 v: Lenovo IdeaPad U510 serial: <filter> Mobo: LENOVO model:...
